PUBLISHING FOR MUSEUMS, GALLERIES
& CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS

Goosepen Studio & Press works closely with museums, galleries, and cultural institutions to produce distinct publications under their own imprints, so all proceeds go into their pockets and, therefore, toward further educational programming, whether that be exhibitions, speakers, or more publications.

“Distinct” means a publication is crafted expressly for its subject and an organization’s budget, with thorough consideration for contextually sensitive typography, interior design, jacket and cover design, and production, the last including the optimal paper, binding, and printer.

Book design, editing, proofreading, photography, image processing, marketing materials, and distribution options – all or some of these can be part of a Goosepen publication project.

Catalogs of temporary or permanent exhibitions; pictorial histories using historical photographs from the archives; historical diaries; out-of-print book reprints; and histories of museums, historic sites, and galleries themselves, including a catalog of the permanent collection (which will stir greater interest in donations to your museum’s collections) are valuable, lasting educational programming as well as income-generating public relations and marketing tools.
